Horton farm cottage located on 40 acres.

Located a few hundred feet from the Iris gardens at Horton farm, a six acre garden space with over 1400 Iris varieties. Bloom season is April and May. The cottage was built in 1945 on my family's heritage farm. She's located next to the old barn alongside a small Creek. Inside you'll find a fresh colorful landscape of hand made cabinets, concrete countertops and furniture. The heated and Polished concrete floor is ready for farm life. You'll be delighted in the vintage items and local artwork.

The space Our 950 square foot A-frame cottage is located near historic Placerville in El Dorado County, the heart of California’s gold country. It is one of two houses on the two-acre property. We live in the main house, so if you need anything at all, we are easily accessible. The cottage is less than a mile from highway 50 and is conveniently located close to many fun activities. Visit historical sites, taste at award winning wineries and take a walk down historical Main Street.

The Inkling - Studio guesthouse near Old Town

The Inkling is a separate apartment attached to a Victorian home built in 1890. It is in a quiet neighborhood near beautiful scenic canyons. Close to Old Town Auburn, you may enjoy restaurants, antique shops, family-friendly activities, the American river, and many, many trails. It is less than .5 miles from downtown as well. There is an enclosed grassy area for our human and canine guests. We live in the main house with our two small dogs, Alice and Charlie.

Reverie Cottage - infinity pool - outdoor soaking

Reverie Cottage offers tranquility among the trees with a private outdoor soaking tub on the redwood deck. A gorgeous infinity pool and hot tub with spectacular views are located a short walk away from the cottage. The hot tub is heated year-round during the two hours around sunset; the pool is heated mid-April through October. Up to two dogs welcome with a fee of $20 per night. Note: in 2024, we are only renting the cottage - no other units.

Our guesthouse is across the driveway from the main house on 1.5 acres on a quiet country road, yet only 2 miles from Old Town Auburn, 3 miles from the Auburn State Recreation Area, and 1.5 hours from Lake Tahoe. The guesthouse is approximately 300 sq ft and has its own entrance with convenient parking. It’s perfect for a single or couple and is suitable for longer term stays.
