A Forest Hike and Cooking with Three Shepherd Dogs
Join me on one of the most unique experience in the Himalayas. We will hike around 1km easy trails which is being used from local kings to British and now local villagers. Throughout our hike we will talk about history, seasonal behaviour of the forest, some 200/300 years old trees, unmanaged temple, gharat (a traditional wheat mill) and the village itself. We will be accompanied by our three shepherd dogs. We will make our lunch with some great views in the forest alongside some great conversations.
Guided Historical tour about Shimla
The heritage walk starts from the Christ Church,which is located at the western shoulder of Jakhu Hill and east towards the Viceregal Lodge. Shimla has a number of places to visit. Local hangouts like The Mall and The Ridge are in the heart of the city. Most of the heritage buildings in the city are preserved in their original 'Tudorbethan' architecture. The former Viceregal Lodge, which now houses and Indian Institute of Advanced Study, During the walk your guide will take you through a number of old buildings such as Gaiety theatre, General Post Office, Imperial Bank, Railway Board Building, Gorton Castle, Knockdrin, Kennedy Cottage, Cecil Hotel,and Viceregal Lodge and you will find every building has a different style of architecture with many stories of the past. Your guide will narrate various facts and history about the old buildings as you enjoy the nature walk. The last point of your heritage walk is the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. After learning about Shimla history your tour ends and you can take local transportation by own. History Tour of the Summer Capital of British India
In this History Tour, you will be walking through the Heritage Zone of Shimla with a historian. Summit is a writer, a published author, and a keen explorer. His love for his hometown Shimla cannot be explained in words. You are going to be in his hands and learn the past and the present of this lovely hill station through his stories. You will be visiting some of the historical buildings which are known for their architecture and their British owners who lived in Shimla for most of their life. Shimla was set up by British officers in the 18th and 19th centuries. Summit tells you all the stories of how it came into existence and what is the present scenario of Shimla, now.
Forest Walk near the Capital of British India
You will be walking through a forested trail that leads you through a Cedar forest, a village, a few hamlets, a temple in the forest, and a venue of an annual fair. At the end of this walking trip, we shall be visiting a simple village home where lunch is organized by the host. This is a unique experience in which you will learn more about the Himalayan forests, and local lifestyle and see some of the most beautiful views of the Himalayas.
Food & Culture Tour, Raw Edition
Join us in this food and culture tour, and be prepared to immerse yourself in the local way of life. After introducing ourselves at the meeting point, we will kick off the tour with a hike to the hidden waterfall. Traversing through the village and shepherd trails we will stop at the hidden spot away from civilization. Over the snacks and refreshments, we'll start by getting to know one another and will go over your expectations for the tour. After spending about an hour at the stream, we will head back to the village. Further, we will head over to explore an old neighborhood of Bir. We'll take a walk through the village and stop at a small-scale handloom factory. With an opportunity to view various handwoven items and products, the tour carries a little demonstration of how a handloom works. We’ll proceed to enjoy a traditional Kangri Dham (Himachali Thali) prepared & served by a local family in their home. Enjoy Himachali delicacies and immerse yourself in conversation with locals, getting to know their cultures, traditions, and ways of living. We will end the tour with a small walk through the village with cultural sights around. Also, take home a souvenir bag full of surprising collectibles from Bir (It's on us). Introduction to Coffee with Live Roasting at Pahadee Coffee
We'll meet at PAHADEE Coffee Roastery located at Gunehar village, 4kms from Bir Paragliding landing site. We'll have a small tour of the coffee roastery, followed by a group introduction. We'll then start with "Coffee 101", which will be an interactive session. We'll understand the whole farm to cup process. After the informative session, participants will be offered a coffee beverage of their choice. Then comes the most interesting part, we'll fire up the roaster and understand how a coffee roaster works. We'll be doing a live roasting of a Indian specialty grade arabica. Roast level will be decided based on majority vote. We'll understand the science behind the roasting process and participants will be themselves involved with the roasting process. Once coffee is roasted, we'll have a myth buster session where all queries and myths will be addressed. Before we say goodbye, each participant will receive a bag of roasted coffee bean(grounded if needed). This is the same coffee we've roasted 30mins back! Every participant will reach one step closer to becoming a coffee connoisseur.
Benog HillTop Jungle Hike
We'll hike through a beautiful forest to Summit a Hilltop, that has Beautiful Panoramic views of the valleys below & the Himalayas up ahead! It is a beautiful day hike for rejuvenation and a perfect place for Nature Admirers. The Trail is wide enough & beautiful with abundant Tree cover for major part of it. On Meeting, necessary briefing will be done before we jump right into action. After that we'll hike into the forest where you'll see & enjoy the forest and learn about it's interesting big & smalls. I'll be providing you with refreshments at regular intervals i.e drinks & light snacks to keep you hydrated and energetic. The Hike is Easy going for Regular Hikers but can be of moderate Difficulty for First Timers. We might witness some barking deers and jungle Martin's walking around on the slopes. Kalij pheasants, langoors & Vultures are often easily spotted. Even though wildlife spotting cannot be guaranteed. What I can guarantee you is a wonderful pleasant time out there observing and admiring nature. Dayara Bugyal Day Trek in Uttarakhand
After breakfast, we will begin the day trek from Raithal village to Dayara Bugyal alpine meadow which situated at an elevation of 3408m. Dayara Bugyal listed among the few largest and well-known meadows in the Garhwal Himalayas and is second to none in natural beauty. After 15 minutes’ walk into the trail and you’ll enter a beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna. 4kms gradually ascending route from upper Raithal leads to shepherd huts at Goyi, a quaint little hamlet straight out of a fantasy world. After a short break at Goyi we’ll proceed towards Dayara Bugyal also known as Nature's Own Gardens. Once arriving at this vast meadow that resembles a tabletop, you can catch sight of some majestic peaks, namely Srikanth, Rudregaira, Gangotri I, II & III, Jaonli, Draupadi ka Danda I & II, Black peak, Bandarpunch I, and II. We will have a packed lunch with hot tea/coffee on the mountain top. After spending some time in the meadow then we will trek down to Raithal village where we can make arrangements for an overnight in a guesthouse or homestay with dinner. Raithal Village to Dayara Bugyal and back to Raithal is about 15 Kms trek on two sides and it will take you around 7 hrs. through dense forest and alpine meadows. Other things to note Raithal is a small village and requires local transportation to access. We can make arrangements to pick you up in Uttarkashi, Rishikesh
Triund day hike and back by evening
Your tour guide will recieve you in the main square of Mcleodganj , after greetings exchange we will start our hike with some instructions for the trail. Triund trail is a well defined trail , and is covered with cedar & seasonal red flowered rhododendron tree. One can enjoy the mother nature by stopping for short breaks for rest and photographs. Entire trek offers the view of lower valley hills known as Shivalik hills . Also one can see the crystal clear Dhauladhar mountain range which is known for three famous peaks , called camel , moon and Mattehorn . Upon reaching the top of triund , you will spend ample of time on the ridge of triund . Local shops on the way and top provides water and snacks and much more . We will return back using the same trail , since it's the safest and easy for descending. Our day hikes ends back at the meeting point where we met this morning.

Serolsar Lake Yoga Trek: The beauty of the ridge line separating the inner and outer Seraj was first extolled by Penelope Chetwode, daughter of the Commander in Chief of the British Army in India in 1931. She accompanied her mother on foot and horseback from Shimla to the Rohtang pass via Jalori pass. She returned to India in 1963 to trek the entire distance once again. Her book, Kulu - The End of Habitable World, describes this journey. Jalori Pass (3250m/10,660 ft): The Jalori Pass which links Inner and Outer SERAJ is 76 km from Kullu. Its crest offers panoramic views of the area. Surrounded by majestic forests, this area is home to the Himalyan brown bear and certain varieties of pheasant - including the Monal and Tarpon. Serolsar Lake (3223m/10,571ft) - The most beautiful walk, going through thick jungles, sound of dead leaves crushing beneath your steps, narrow lanes, leading to the Serolsar Lake, a very quiet, soulful, beautiful place. Heritage walk in Chandigarh
Option 1 Visit the Capitol Complex: 10:00 am- 12:30 PM The Capitol Complex, also designed by Le Corbusier, represented India for the heritage status. The buildings at the Capitol Complex include the Open Hand monument, Punjab and Haryana high court, Tower of Shadows, Geometric Hill, the legislative assembly and the secretariat. Lunch @additional cost Visit the Chandigarh Architecture Museum and Govt Museum and art Gallery 2:00 PM- 4:30 PM The building that houses the Architecture Museum was designed by Architect S.D. Sharma, who trained directly under Corbusier and Jeanneret. The Architecture museum building had to be conceptualised and designed in a way that was congruous with the adjacent Art Museum. Option 2 Maison Pierre Jeanneret The house of Chandigarh's first Chief Architect, Pierre Jeanneret has been converted into a museum. The Swiss-born architect Pierre Jeanneret, a cousin of Le Corbusier, was instrumental in the design and development of the capital city of Chandigarh.  He remained in Chandigarh from February 1951 to August 1965, and designed most of the government housing, schools, colleges, shopping centres, Gandhi Bhawan, Punjab University, & others. Monsoon Day Hike To Triund
Monsoon hikes can be so enchanting and one can witness Triund trail in it's pure, raw & wild form in the months of monsoon. ∆° We will meet in Gallu, famously known as Gallu temple and a starting point of the triund. From gallu the triund trail is everything a nature lover would dream of. The trail is accompanied by the sweet and wonderful sounds of birds, small & waterfalls. We will hike through the gorgeous alpine scenery and fairy tale forest with Himalayan flora & fauna and fresh air to breath. During the hike I will show you the famous peaks of dhauladhar granite mountain. I will also point to famous sites of mcleodganj like Dalai Lama temple, cricket stadium and a hibrew village in dharamkot, which are visible from a suitable spot with scenic view of shivalik hills . Upon reaching the top of triund we will spend one hour leisure time admiring the splendid face to face view of Mun peak and Indraharpas . Around 2 pm we will began to descend back to gallu and we will be back to Mcleodganj main square by 5:30 pm. Our triund Day hike ends here at the beautiful sunset time . ∆ Note - - For solo travellers it is suggested to book the experience using private tour option only - Any transport charges during the tour are not included in the experience. Landour hilltop is a jem of a place. Picture perfect Place loaded with views & history of Mussoorie & Landour. The Hathipaown Hike
Walk up to an incredible breathtaking Viewpoint of Mussoorie that has views of the ENTIRE Dehradoon skyline, from river Ganga on one side to river Yamuna on the other on a clear day, with massive Himalayan ranges to the North. The whole loop is a beautiful short Nature walk of approximately 5-6kms roundtrip. We'll gain approximately 1200 -1500 feet of elevation overall. The route used for this hike is a mix of beautiful nature trail, mountain Zig-Zags, some kacha pakka Rasta & a lovely stone paved path that has ample tree cover on both sides which makes it both interesting & amazing. Also, There is a restroom at the trailhead!! NOTE: 1. Weekdays/Less Crowded Days and early mornings & evenings are best for it, on weekends the peak gets a little crowded during day time, however the whole loop is the experience that one should go for. 2. The hike is a Blend of a Beautiful Nature walk and a history Tour with some little bit of off-beat hike. Treat it as such. 3.
