Bloodlust: Mysteries of Victorian Boston
Explore a true crime murder mystery in quaint, post-Civil War Boston. In the late 1800s, Boston experienced a rash of gruesome murders and unexplained phenomena. People were accused of being witches and vampires, and of conversing with the dead, all while a serial murder lurked just out of sight. Looking for a time that isn't listed? Send me a message and maybe we can work something out. While we made pioneering strides in the new fields of forensics and toxicology, we hosted mad scientists and psychologists who treated the mentally ill in unsavory ways. The background for a number of historic movies and shows, the country’s largest Victorian neighborhood, the South End is all within a few blocks of Copley Square and Back Bay. Buried beneath this neighborhood's eye-catching English gardens and breathtaking brick rowhouses, the Gothic churches and strange statuary that tourist rarely see, is a unique experience you won’t want to miss. There will be some graphic discussion of violence and murder. Participant discretion is advised.
The Revolutionary Story Tour
A complete retelling of the American story from the founding of Boston to the Declaration of Independence. Unlike most tours which limit themselves exclusively to what's on the Freedom Trail - walking from one end to the other and providing short highlights and separate overviews of each stop - this tour pulls everything together into an immersive citywide narrative: recreating the drama and recapturing the energy that invented America. We visit 14 (of 16) iconic Freedom Trail landmarks in the same order in which the history unfolded, bringing to life the passions, personalities, and psychologies behind world changing events like The Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, and Battle of Bunker Hill. We also explore all of Boson's original neighborhoods (including those not on the Freedom Trail) covering both the major sights and the hidden gems so you'll enjoy the charm of the old town while getting a real sense of the beautiful and booming modern city as well. No big crowds or silly costumes. The story incorporates insights from the most prestigious scholars in the field and is presented with light-hearted humor and enthusiasm; it will be equally educational as entertaining for history buffs and newcomers alike. Awarded Boston Magazine's Best Historical Tour in 2022
Walk Your Way Through Boston's History
We will start our tour at the Lenox hotel in the heart of the Back Bay neighborhood, and will end at historic Faneuil Hall where there are endless places to eat and explore after the tour. Boston Public Garden - Visit the beautiful gardens, and say hello to the Swan Boats, and the Make Way for Ducklings statues! If you come during the right time of year, they may even be donning some accessories! Boston Common - Bask in the freedom of the oldest public park in the United States. Cheers Bar - Where everybody knows your name. Beacon Hill - View Boston's most historic neighborhood. Complete with original brick sidewalks and gas lanterns (you can thank some friendly 20th-century neighborhood rioters for those bricks). The New State House - Is as impressive as the political debates inside...we think.

Attendees will take home a personalized A2 notecard that they typeset and printed themselves. Great for teams, great for families and great for groups! I've had several bridal showers, company team-building workshops and family outings at the press, and everyone has a great time. Print your family motto, short quote, pithy joke or your company vision statement! Other things to note This is a hands-on experience, and letterpress printing is a technical trade that takes some physical involvement. Your hand-made item will, indeed, be hand-made by you!

The Goat Experience
We will tour my small farm, called Border Collie Farm. First we will greet the chickens. We give them snacks and check for eggs. The eggs are green and tan. I have 10 of varying breeds. We even pet a chicken. Then we will move to the ducks. There are six Black Swedish ducks who are laying every day. Duck eggs are huge! We next see the stars, Stella, Bella and Eddie. A brief talk about goat breeds and what people use goats for will be followed by the goats eating from our hands. Everyone will have treats to offer the goats. You may even try to milk a goat. If milking is not available, then we will brush them. They enjoy being petted on the sides. We will walk the farm with them wandering besides us. They never let me get too far away. Then using Bella's milk we will make soap. At the end I will introduce you to Dylan, the Border Collie. He is very friendly and loves people. There will be ample opportunity for picture taking and a demonstration of how goat milk soap is made. Other things to note The experience is held rain or shine so come with an umbrella. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Please leave your pets at home.
