La Ferme de La Tour is an ensemble of buildings renovated to a high standard to form four holiday cottages and a large chlorine free pool all set in beautiful park like gardens.

Le Fournil is an old bakehouse which has been lovingly restored and includes a wealth of character and original features. La Fournil sleeps two people with a lounge, kitchen-diner, bedroom and a shower room, providing the conveniences of a modern home in a superb old building full of charm.
The light and airy south facing living area has stunning views over the garden and Dordogne valley beyond through fully glazed French doors. The walls have exposed honey coloured stonework and oak timbers. The ceiling is 5mtrs high and vaulted with beautifully crafted oak timbers. The furnishings are sumptuous and comfortable with throws and cushions, side tables and lamps.
The French doors give access to a south facing terrace area with barbecue, patio furniture and wonderful views .
There is a dining table and chairs and a stone spiral staircase giving access to a lovely galleried landing on the first floor which overlooks the lounge area and gives access to the bedroom.
The romantic bedroom has a double bed, stunning beams in a vaulted ceiling, polished chestnut floors and a velux roof window which gives the room a lovely sunny aspect.
The heavily beamed kitchen with a window overlooking a pretty courtyard and exposed stonework, is fully equipped with plenty of worktop area, fitted units and all the accessories you may need during your stay. There is a washing machine, cooker, hob, extractor fan, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster etc etc.
The shower room, with heavily beamed ceiling, has a shower, toilet and hand basin.
Le Fournil has heating throughout, Sky TV offering a large choice of English speaking channels, CD and DVD players and a library of DVD films are available on request. There is also a small library of books. An iron and ironing board and clothes airer are also included.

We are perfectly located with easy access to all of the best touristic sites in the area. There is so much to see and do that you could be here a month and will still have missed out on so much. The area will take your breathe away with rivers, lakes, cliffs, caves, castles, historic buildings and the most beautiful villages..
Situated in the heart of Perigord Noir, we are in the most scenic region of the Dordogne, in an area known locally as the golden triangle. The location is ideal for the perfect self catering holiday with all of the most beautiful sites and scenery of the Dordogne and Lot on our doorstep. We are close to Sarlat (10kms) yet situated in a rural position with surrounding grounds of woodland and meadow. The breathtaking views over the Dordogne valley will overwhelm you with a feeling of peace and tranquillity. Within the hamlet of La Tour, we are just two minutes from the pretty village of Sainte Nathalene with a bar, hotel, depot pain ( bakery outlet ), restaurants and a small shop.

The historical town of Sarlat-la-Caneda, with more listed buildings than any other town in Europe, is just seven miles away. Sarlat has an all year round twice weekly market and a wonderful choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. An array of street entertainment and a full calendar of events makes Sarlat a visit you should not miss when in the Dordogne. There are also numerous chateaux to visit, caves to explore and pretty market towns to meander through.

The area also offers a wide range of outdoor activities for all ages.. These include walking, canoeing down the Dordogne river (an absolute must), golfing, inland swimming lakes and beaches, tennis, air parks, cycling, mountain biking, quad biking, para gliding, water parks, paint ball, karting, horse riding, hot air ballooning, wine tasting trips, etc etc.

We are an average family of four that originate from the village of Wroxham in Norfolk in the east of England.

Why did we move to France ? Why not...... We are, or should I say were, the same as most working families in the western world, devoted parents, but having to give ourselves and far too much time to careers which involve long hours and stress. So we looked for an alternative and France seemed like the right choice. The choice provided us with more stress and longer hours than you can imagine and for the first three or four years it was extremely hard work, both physically and mentally. However we are now reaping the benefits and enjoying our new life to the full, in one of the most beautiful areas we could have dreamed of living.
