- We are surrounded by forest and insects sneak inside specially in the summer. Please check NC Cooperative Extension site for information on millipedes season (summer). MAKE SURE YOU ARE OK WITH THAT. I work relentlessly to keep the place clean and free of insects but they do sneak in.
- 8 miles to downtown Asheville and half way between North Asheville and downtown Weaverville. The place is tucked away and surrounded by forest but is minutes away from the interstate.
- Your space: Complete downstairs private suite with a large indoor hangout area (the couch is NOT to be used as an extra bed, please) and kitchenette (photos are accurate). Space in the photos is private for your use and the entrance is separate from the upstairs home. We live upstairs.
- Many beautiful parks very close by include Lake Louise (5 minute drive), Main St. Nature Park (6 minute drive), Beaver Lake (8 minute drive), Ledges Whitewater River Park (10 minute drive), and many more.

We are located in a quiet neighborhood (it is still "a neighborhood" and there is occasional noise), surrounded by forest yet very close to Asheville and the towns around it. You can feel like you are far from everything but could be just minutes away from a gourmet restaurant, coffee shops, Trader Joe's or the Parkway. Walking distance to a grocery store and a chain pizza but a steep hill coming back - so understand that ours is not the type of neighborhood where you can walk to a quaint downtown or the upscale eateries in downtown Asheville. Most cool places are a short drive away.

Asheville is a great place to explore the outdoors, try incredible food and enjoy the music scene and the arts.
I am a pretty laid back person. I have traveled in the US and abroad and can appreciate the need for a place that feels homey when we are away.

PLEASE NOTE: ****Climate control: There is only one thermostat for the whole house. We are happy to adjust the thermostat to your comfort. You will be able to adjust the heaters and fans downstairs independently. PLEASE read instructions BEFORE adjusting the GAS HEATER. Please read instructions on how to use storm door (taped on the door).
NOTE: Since we are not offering the standardized amenities of a hotel and do not have a front desk, your requests/questions/concerns will not be addressed during the night. YOU ARE ABLE TO CHECK IN ANY TIME AFTER 3. It's likely you might be able to check in earlier - let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate your request.
