A perfect romantic getaway for a couple seeking quality time in one of the last cottages on the waterfront of Sturgeon Bay. Fantastic location, close to everything on the west side of the city. Spectacular sunrise vistas overlooking the historic Steel Bridge are the daily fare at The Lily Pad. Enjoy Otumba Park with a public beach and tennis courts just a block away or relax outside on the deck reading your favorite novel. The Lily Pad Cottage is a year round venue, including a winter sanctuary (my personal favorite time of year here). As a host, travelers who come to visit Door County, benefit from my years of touring the peninsula, offering what guests need, whether staying at Lily Pad Cottage or Eagle View Suite to enjoy their best vacation. My teacher friend, Trish, and I came to Door County at the end of every school year to decompress. I traveled from Chicago and Trish, from Green Bay; we both felt that vacationing in Door was the perfect way to jump-start the summer relaxation process. After several years of this tradition, I began to feel that a few days, or even a week wasn't enough and as my love for the Door grew, I began to feel sad when I had to leave for home. Year after year, I'd find excuses to spend more and more time here. Finally, few years ago, I made the decision to end my nearly 30 year teaching career and move to Sturgeon Bay. Now, I'm on the other end of the traveler/ host scenario.
