Kućni red
Ovaj smeštaj nije pogodan za decu mlađu od 12 godina i domaćin ne dozvoljava kućne ljubimce, žurke ni pušenje.
We have 4 lovely, clean, cool and thoughtfully decorated rooms, with big comfy beds and cool high ceilings and we offer a great value breakfast option for guests.
Our Kampot town house is just a two minute walk across the Old Bridge to 'Street Food Central', coffee shops, bars & excellent restaurants, but aside from tasty food & drinks, there is a lot more to discover here in Kampot and we can help you organise day trips and river activities during your stay.

Prostor
We are right in the middle of an active, Khmer street with all the usual laughing ladies, chickens, children, and a very busy coffee shop just next door - be sure to try a 75 cent 'Cafe t-cor' with sweet milk while you are here or a manicure and blow dry at the salon across the street and if you wake up early enough, you can watch the fishing boats coming home at sunrise. We offer a nice help yourself breakfast in the mornings (at a reasonable price) with good coffee, local bread, spreads and bananas and let us know if you would like us to arrange a nice welcome package of snacks and wine for your arrival or while you are here.
We have four guest rooms, all decorated in an individual style, and this listing is for one of our cold water downstairs rooms. When you book you are reserving one room only (not the whole property), but please let us know if you are looking for more rooms and we will try our best to accommodate your group. There are more photographs and some extra information on our other listing (but they are both for our house!)

Dostupno gostima
As well as your private room, we also have a sunny balcony with seats at the back of the property and a large rooftop where you can enjoy some shade and the river breeze with your mountain and river views! It's a good spot for chilling out in the hammock with a book, or to have a nice cold glass of wine and some lunch.
We ask that you lock the doors when you come back inside and that you are respectful of our neighbours and other guests, especially with noise after 10pm.

Ostale napomene
We have parking space for motorbikes and bicycles inside the property in the evening. Kampot is easy to get about on foot, but if you want to explore further you will need either a motor bike or tuk tuk - don't worry we can help you arrange those too.
We have a pet Muppet, Kiki (actually a dog), she'll give you a high five, but will expect some of your lunch in return.
- No smoking in the bedrooms. Please respect our neighbours and other guests. The house entrance, rooftop and balcony doors need to be locked when you come inside and keep the noise down after 10pm.
A great value breakfast is available - please just let us know the day before so we are fully stocked and guests are welcome to enjoy that in our reception room or on the large roof terrace - go upstairs and enjoy the views, do some yoga, log on to our strong internet connection and do some work (if you have to) or just chill in the hammock with a beer.
But please don't keep or eat any food or snacks in your room as ants love snacks and will find the smallest cookie crumbs in even the cleanest backpack!
Kampot Town is developing at a very steady pace so there is construction happening all over town, on almost ever street, which puts extra pressure on the water system, but don't worry, if there is a town water shortage during your stay, every bathroom has a water bucket and scoop for your convenience - its the traditional Asian method for showering, flushing and filling the sink with fresh water for hand washing. Not all of our rooms have a window, but these rooms have traditional Cambodian style ventilation bricks which allow the air to circulate and guests usually enjoy the peaceful privacy of these rooms

Please don't expect your time in Kampot to be a fully functioning perfect city break perfect, there's a lot of coffee shops and food from all over the world, but no McDonald's yet! It's developing into a tourist must-see town, but please have patience with its quirks and charms (we often hear 'like Thailand 20 years ago' which is why we like it here) so try to go with the flow if there's a powercut, or the cockerel thinks it's time to get up at 4am, or if there's an earsplitting wedding party or kareoke - in fact if you are anywhere in Cambodia during the dry season there is no doubt that you will experience at least one, because it's Wedding Season!
Or if the rain is firing in at every angle, even upwards (!) So there's an occasional smell from the river when the drains fill up, or sometimes when it's so hot that every sentence begins with "Gaddaw naa?" (Hot isn't it?) - but we hope that you will explore and learn a little about the area, try local delicious food and snacks, enjoy the riverside and wave back at the kids and shout 'HELLO!!' and if you get soaked during a downpour, or too hot in the sun, maybe sit in a roadside hut, have a cheap drink and share some soggy smiles with the shopkeeper and watch Kampot life go by.

Krong Kampot, Kampot Province, Камбоџа

Its great living on this side of the river with our friendly Khmer neighbours and they will often try and teach you some Khmer phrases or feed you some strange looking fruit if they get the chance.
They get up early for work and school and the local men all congregate for elevenses to watch crazy dramatic TV soaps in the coffee shop next door.
There's a popular hair and beauty salon just over the road, a little convenience shop and our landlords own the local wood work shop (so we've had some nice pieces of furniture from them).
In the evening, there are some karaoke clubs on this side, but magically the 'music' carries over the water, away from the houses and even if there is a fabulous noisy wedding in the street, its usually pretty peaceful after 10pm.
Roosters are our alarm clock in SE Asia, but if they do actually wake us up, we just hop up onto the roof terrace with a coffee and watch the fishing boats coming home at sunrise, lay back in the hammock and think how lucky we are to be in Cambodia!
