Dorothy & I have traveled a fair bit and have loved every minute of it. We enjoy talking to our guests about their experiences - where they've been, what their favorite travel experiences are and, of course, their horror stories!
When we travel, particularly in different countries and cultures, we like to soak in and try to immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and sometimes stray from the road well traveled to more out of the way places and cultures.
We have stayed in a few places (not Airbnb hosted), that we found less than desirable, so, when we joined the Airbnb hosting community we vowed that travelers who stayed with us would get the best experience we could give them. We listen to all the stories our guests tell us, hoping to pick up tips that will help us be better hosts. We love sitting in the afternoon sunshine under our pergola, enjoying a cold drink in the summer together with a great BBQ in our 'backyard vineyard'. In the cooler months, we enjoy good food indoors and on occasion invite our guests to join us for a home cooked dinner.
