The nearby park has BBQ facilities. A local tavern Parkwood Tavern is a ten minute walk and has a great restaurant and Bistro areas. TAB and poker machine area and entertainment. Local clubs CSi club Southport and Sharks AFL also have the same facilities and will collect you in their courtesy bus, so you can enjoy a night out. Our home is located close enough to the motorway to take you to Movieworld and Dreamworld theme parks. Luckily no noise from the motorway as the area between home and the road is dense bush tall trees which home the local bird life. I love the songs and laughter of the kookaburra and we feed the Rainbow Lorikeets daily at our back door.

Hi I am Laura I live on the beautiful Gold Coast, born and bred a Queenslander. One of my passions is to record memories in the form of a photo. I always had a camera in my hand as a child and young adult.
My overseas travels have only taken me to the Pacific. I have cruised the south west of Pacific, around NZ and my longest flight was to Tahiti back in the 70's A working holiday in New Zealand several years ago. Recent times see me enjoying a social drink, watching a few Aussie soapies on the TV. and lunch dates. I have a small dog Maltese X Shiatsu Oskar.
One can't help but love to feed the Rainbow Lorikeets in the back garden of my home I enjoy hosting people which I have been doing for several years, mostly uni. students. Short stays or longer I don't really mind.

There are brochures to view for sight seeing ideas. I don't drive so public transport is the way. HONEST FACT the bus stop for travel to the hospital is (a 2 minute walk) The #710 bus runs along our street. In one direction the bus travels as far as the GCUHOSPITAL, where it connects withe tram/light rail, for a south going trip. In the other direction to Helensvale Rail station and Westfield shopping centre. THIS NORTH GOING BUS STOP is at the PARKWOOD FAMILY PARK also a two to three minute walk.
