Relax in a rural but convenient location, central to everything WNC has to offer! We know it's important to have a comfortable and cozy base to return to after a day of exploring; whether it's on the trail or in town. Our space provides everything you need, including a luxurious jet tub, rainfall shower head, full kitchen with updated appliances, laundry, and private porch to enjoy grilling & wildlife viewing.

Located 15 min from Pisgah and DuPont Forests and 30 min from downtown Asheville.

Our space is a bright, cheerful, modern and relaxing vibe with everything you could need for a quick getaway or a longer stay. People rave about our fully equipped kitchen, front porch with sliding gate to keep dogs or kiddos secure, and high-speed internet for work or relaxing with your favorite streaming service.

We pride ourselves on our environmentally conscious approach to hosting. We use all natural cleaning products and toiletries. It is our aim to minimize waste and provide recycling and composting facilities on site.

We love our furry guests as much as our human ones! We welcome well behaved pets with a non-refundable fee of $75. We have a large yard and wooded area which guests are welcome to use. We are also happy to provide play dates with our own dogs, Archie and Baxter, or help with pet friendly activity recommendations in the area. If you are bringing your pet(s), please note this in your booking message so we can facilitate the pet fee and provide the best experience for your furry friend :)

Speaking of furry friends, we are fortunate to be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife on our property. We frequently view white squirrels, deer, hummingbirds and songbirds, chipmunks, opossums and rabbits. We highly recommend relaxing on the front porch with your morning coffee and watching the animals go about their daily business... The squirrels frequently put on an acrobatic show stealing food from the bird feeders!

We love our location due to its proximity to Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest (15 mins), Historic downtown Brevard and Hendersonville (20 mins), as well as the Asheville area (downtown 30 min) including the airport. The cottage is located right next-door to our main home, and within a surrounding neighborhood. You will see other homes nearby, however it is a peaceful neighborhood with only occasional noise from passing vehicles and neighborhood dogs. We love sharing our neighborhood with an abundance of wildlife.

We are an adventurous couple who loves climbing mountains, fishing creeks, cooking and eating good food and exploring this wonderful world. Rob is from the UK and Kendra hails from the Twin Cities in MN originally, but spent most of her adolescence and adult years in the WNC mountains.

We also have two fur-children: Archie, our "miniature black lab", and Baxter, our border collie/German Shepherd mix. They love fetch, sprinting madly through the yard and woods, and chewing sticks to smithereens.

We chose to live in this area because we truly enjoy every aspect of what it has to offer, we take great delight in being able to share that with our guests and are happy to provide in depth recommendations for hiking, biking, fishing, eating, shopping and more. We love meeting our guests but will always follow your lead on how much or how little you'd like to interact!
