Feel like taking a bit of time for fun on some Florida beaches? You can drive to a gorgeous sandy, secluded beach in only 45 minutes. We are also very close to a lot of fun things to do in Tallahassee and are very near to parks and rec, even within walking distance!

You may have traveled hours to get here and now can happily relax as you pull your car into our private driveway, your own convenient parking space directly next to the guesthouse.

A quiet, serene and cozy private place to stay in Tallahassee with nature and tall trees surrounding you, you will feel a great sense of peace in our safe, extremely clean, well-maintained surroundings.

As you walk from your car next to the guesthouse, you will find a welcome break from the heat with the screened in heated private 40 foot swimming pool. Enjoy the wonder of the treehouse feel with your own private balcony; perfect for overlooking the sunrise on the lake for morning coffee.

Your time spent here at Woodlands Guesthouse will feel like a getaway, coming away feeling refreshed, at peace and fully rested.

Get a really great nights’ sleep on a beautifully made and comfortable new king bed with soft linens. Allergy sufferers will be thankful this is a very low dust property without pet dander and other major allergens due to the laminate wood flooring and window blinds instead of curtains.

As we only use natural and eco-friendly amenities, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash, you can feel good about staying in a place kind to the environment. Listen to the radio or play a CD to relax or just to listen to while you are getting ready to head out for the day with the radio/CD player.

Family friendly! We want our guests with small children to feel welcome and enjoy the pool and other amenities, like a pack n play travel crib, children's toys and books, a baby bath and high chair.

We have a futon that can become a twin sized bed in the living area with bedding always at hand in the armoire.

We have tried to create a great Airbnb experience for you to make for a memorable stay. Relax on the evenings with our 48” TV with Directv or if you decide to bring your own portable devices, we have power strips next to the bed and with our high speed Wi-Fi, you are all set.

Tallahassee weather can turn rainy in an instant, and that’s why you will keep entertained with our vast selection of fun travel games and crosswords.

With the ability to cook meals in the fully functioning kitchenette, you won’t have to worry about grabbing every meal out. We have a convection toaster oven that can toast, bake and broil. A microwave oven, portable burner with a frying pan and 2 pots, steamer, cooking utensils, mixing and serving bowls.

Feel like you are right at home with use of our own iron, ironing board and hair dryer along with a full length mirror.

For our business travelers, if you need to get work done during your stay, there is strong Wi-Fi and a large desk to spread everything out on, a really comfortable desk chair and a power strip to plug everything in..

Woodlands Guesthouse is located in the SE side of Tallahassee, about 2 miles from FSU. It is located in the Woodland Drives neighborhood, winner of the Best Neighborhood in Tallahassee in 2010 and 2009. Much of our neighborhood is part of the Myers Park Historic District, comprised of 362 acres with 229 parcels of land.

If you were to meet me, you may be struck by my accent, as I am half-American / half-British and there is NO telling how my words are going to come out. Even I have no idea how I’m going to pronounce things as I say them! Ha! Half of my adult life was spent in Northern England and yes, I married a Brit. Originally from Louisiana, I moved to England in 1998 and spent until 2014 there. It was great, but I also missed living in the ‘Deep South’!

Not only do I run Woodlands Guesthouse on Airbnb, but I also own my own (woman owned!) business, which I run from home. It is called The Organic Handkerchiefs Company. I sell mostly on Amazon, but also have my own website. I do sell organic hankies, both in cotton and flannel, and in various sizes and colors. I started this company from the UK in 2007 and it is still flourishing!

Living close to nature and trying to be an eco-responsible citizen is very important to me. I try to use organic and/or natural products as much as I can. This is an area that always has room for improvement, but, hey, life’s a journey!

In my spare time, I like yoga, meditation and playing guitar. I also like to read books and also love bingeing on Netflix once I find a show that I really like!

Tokom boravka

You will probably feel rather secluded, especially if this is what you were after, but if you happen to see me or my husband, we’ll be happy to chat. Our home is separated from the guesthouse with the pool in the middle of the two homes.
