We are located just minutes from Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Keystone, and all the attractions of the Black Hills. Your 210 sq ft wall tent sits like a castle on a 300 sq ft deck perched 20 feet in the air on the side of a forested ridge. Your “gold mine” bathroom sits under the tent surrounded by stone, timbers, antiques, and views never seen from a bathroom. Your private shower cascades over a 10 ft boulder with unlimited hot water and optional shower curtain. This is not your ordinary boring glamping tent setup. Come see how roughing it on the pampered side feels!

NOTE: I KNOW PETS ARE IMPORTANT AND ARE MOST WELCOME. HOWEVER, I NOW CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL $30.00 CLEANING FEE PER PET. THIS IS DUE TO THE EXTRA LAUNDRY AND DEEP CLEANING EXPECTED BY NON PET OWNERS THAT ARE ALSO OUR GUESTS. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEDS OR BEDDING, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Hi, I’m John. I’ve been living on this property for 18 years with my wife and two daughters. I’ve recently decided that it was long over due that I share this magical place with visitors from around the world. I felt that the best way to do this is with a glamorous camping tent, “glamping”. This enables our guests to truly get back to nature and experience the Black Hills and everything they have to offer without roughing it too much! My number one goal is to provide you with an experience that is never forgotten. A much needed reprieve from our hectic lives and most importantly, quality time spent with those most precious in your lives.
I’m an adventurous person, travel frequently, easily bored, not afraid to try anything once, and I’m truly excited to share the Black Hills experience with you!

I like to greet my guests if I can and they are willing. An off grid glamping site is quite different than your standard Airbnb property with its own unique quirks. However if that is not possible or the guest prefer more privacy, I have a House Manual that covers all amenities and then some and highly recommend reading it over at least once. I can be reached by text almost 24/7. Texting at the tent works 99% of the time with all major cell phone providers. Being available to guests is one of my top priorities. I am here to make sure your stay with us is comfortable and unforgettable.
