Enjoy a brand new Casper brand queen bed, 55" TV, and private deck. Only a 5 minute walk from downtown Silver City. The casita is located on the back of a larger property with shade trees next to long term residents. The neighbors are quiet, respectful, and welcome the same from any AirBnB guest.

The property and front building was the original office for the first mining company! It is just a walk away from the old mining area, now called Boston Hill, with hiking and mountain biking trails where silver mining shafts are still visible.

The casita is a 330 square foot studio where traditional adobe brick meets modernity. It is surrounded by trees and garden areas. Enjoy coffee on the front deck or lounging in the spacious (shared) side yard. The kitchen has the basics you need to feel at home. And coffee? Tea? Of course!

Hi! In my late teens and 20s I traveled extensively throughout the United States and many foreign counties hiking, volunteer teaching, working, learning, and playing. After meeting my sweetheart (another adventurer), we settled down to start our careers and raise a family. We wanted to host on Airbnb to return the great hospitality that so many hosts showed us while we traveled.

For my day job, I work in the environmental industries sector ensuring pollution stays out of our ground water and environment.

I enjoy hiking, playing music, listening to audio books (any recommendations?), bicycling and gardening.

Buying the Casita is my newest adventure -it allows me to have a part time home when I want to visit family and offer a place for other travelers when I am not there.
