We are off of a dirt road about three miles east of Silver City. That puts us Close to historic Silver City, restaurants, Silco Theater, historic downtown, thrift stores, antiques, coffee shops. For hiking and mountain biking check out the Dragonfly Trail area. Dragonfly is a four minute drive from our property.
Turn left on Hwy 180 going east, for about 10 minutes and you will come to the turnoff for historic Ft Bayard and the connecting rosd to the Big Tree Trails.
In downtown Silver there is the Boston Hill trail system. Another beautiful area for hiking in Silver is Gomez Peak.
We are in the country but close to urban amenities. We have Walmart Super Store, Albertsons, & Food Basket grocery stores. Gila Regional Hospital is close by as well as several medical clinics. Pharmacies include Walgreens and CVS.
There is a medicine dispensary in the Albertsons shopping Center next to the UPS store and a Caesar’s pizza place.

My husband Bob and I came to Silver City after escaping the Campfire in 2018. Although we are newcomers to the area we love it here! We continually learn more and more about the area and the Land of Enchantment that is New Mexico. One of the things that impresses us the most is the incredible history of the area. We meet generations of the same family living here. The history is kept alive and vibrant here through the Silver City Museum.
Artists and artistic flair is noticed throughout Silver City through creative personal expression. You see it in the metal sculptures, wind sculptures, mosaics, mural art and of course the many galleries in the historic downtown area.

Bob and I love the great outdoors. Enjoying our morning coffee on the front porch begins each day perfectly. Over the years we have explored Cycling, hiking, camping, kayaking, snorkeling. Bob is a well versed camper and hiker. He was a commercial fisherman for many years and worked in construction.
I hosted for Airbnb in Bodega Bay for over five years. Now Bob and I look forward to hosting in the beautiful southwest. We love sharing our property with friends and Airbnb guests.
Here in Grant County there are great parks, and the Gila National Forest and the Gila Cliff Dwellings are only two hours away. Great local hiking is here at Boston Hill, Dragonfly Trail, and Gomez Peak. Silver City offers year round farmers markets on Saturdays at 9 am. There are great restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The Gila National Forest has extensive trails for hiking and backpacking.
I am an avid fan of world music and dance, have been a professional percussionist, teacher, and belly dancer. It is great fun meeting new friends through airbnb, and I am thankful that we landed here.
I enjoy introducing guests to favorite hikes and parks in this area, and turning guests and friends on to the beauty and bounty of Grant County.
