Howe Tarn is set within a tranquil, 50 acre wooded development known as "Neaum Crag". Loughrigg Tarn & Fell and the River Brathay are both within a 10 minute off road walk of Neaum Crag. Chesters By The River Cafe, the Talbot Inn and Skelwith Bridge Hotel are all within a 5 minute stroll.
There is no traffic noise or light pollution here, just a beautiful view over a small tarn with the Langdale Pikes appearing through the trees.
Ambleside is very conveniently only 2 miles away, where there is a huge selection of shops, cafes, restaurants etc
The Pool Hall building containing the pool is c 100m down the estate road from Howe Tarn . Access is with the key fob hung up by our front door, and opening hours are 9 am - 9 30pm 7 days a week. Please note this building is closed between 15th November and 1st March each winter.

We enjoy walking, climbing, skiing and sailing and are rarely indoors for any amount of time!
We feel incredibly lucky to live in such a fantastic location, and are delighted to be able to share this with guests. Lakeland is such a beautiful , cultural area with so much to offer guests, both indoors and out.
