About The Property
Paradise Place is tucked away in a little known corner of the vibrant city of Perth (even to some locals). It's part of a cluster of only 7 houses with a private carpark. It is an upside down house. You don’t have to carry your heavy suitcases upstairs.
On the ground floor you’ll find two double bedrooms each with ample storage and a comfortable double bed dressed with crisp white linen bedding. There is also a toilet/washroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs is is a tasteful lounge with dining space and a 65” Smart Television for evening entertainment, using your own account/Codes..
The kitchen is well equipped and bright with plenty storage space and quality appliances. There is an induction hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee machine.
The bathroom is also on the upper floor and has a quality shower over the bath.
The washer/dryer and 50L Freezer is in the cupboard under the stair
Outdoors there is a private courtyard with table and chairs to chill out with a bottle of wine or a cold beer on warm days or just a nice cup of coffee/tea. There is a herb border which you are welcome to make use of. There is also an outdoor, pull out, drying line.

YOU WILL BE SENT AN APP FOR YOUR PHONE 1 WEEK BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL. YOU CAN ACCESS INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROPERTY AND THE AREA. GOOD SUGGESTIONS AND INFORMATION AT YOUR FINGER TIPS TO MAKE YOUR STAY MEMORABLE.

The Area
The City of Perth is known as the Gateway to the Highlands with many beauty spots to explore locally and on day trips.
Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow are a scenic drive for good days out. Also the spectacular Cairngorms, Perthshire Villages and villages of the Fife coast. (All within a 1 hour drive from Perth). You'll find it hard to fit it all in.

The City Centre is only a short stroll away from the house. You'll find St john's Shopping Centre with many popular shops, a Tesco Store for your culinary needs, and a delightful Cafe Quarter. There are also many good restaurants for all tastes and budgets, ideal for relaxing over dinner after a day out. (No taxi required you'll be home in Paradise Place in a short 3-4 minute walk.)
I suggest you visit the Tourist Information Service to get a free local map and ideas for days out during your stay.
The Railway Station and the Bus Station is only 2-3 minutes walk from the property.
There are a few very local walks,Kinnoull Hill, Riverside Gardens and the North and South Inch Parks on the edge of the town. If you go further afield you'll be spoilt for choice of country walks of varying distances.

If you arrive well before your check-in time, there is a nice city circular short walk to stretch your legs and then have Coffee or Lunch in the Cafe Quarter after.
Walkover the footbridge in Tay Street, which runs alongside the railway line, and have a walk to your left along the Riverside Gardens and Norie Miller Gardens and return to Tay Street by crossing over theSmeaton's Bridge (locally called the Old Bridge).
The Queen's Bridge is in-between the Old Bridge and the Railway/Footbridge so if you want an even shorter walk you can return by this bridge.
Branklyn Gardens (National Trust) is well worth a visit. Cross over the Queens Bridge at top of South Street and turn right down the Dundee Road A85, 116 Dundee Road, a 3 minute drive.
Perth has a lovely Theatre and a Concert Hall with cafes for a light lunch/snack/ coffee and cake. Book your Tickets early for evening performances. Perthshire Galleries and Museums have FREE admission.
A visit to the Ferusson Art Galleryis a must. J.D. Fergusson was an influential artist in the early 20th Century and in addition to his vast collection of art work you will see the archives of his lifelong companion and pioneer of modern dance Margaret Morris. The Gallery is a stone throw from the property on the corner of Marshall Place and Tay Street.
In the North Inch you will find access to Balhousie Castle and Black Watch Museum. Ideal to spend time on those cooler/wet days and there is a restaurant/cafe there too for a stop off on a North Inch stroll. You can also access from the main entrance on Hay Street where there is a carpark.
Perth has an IMAX Cinema, housed in an Art Deco building in the town.
Check out the Scone Races if you are staying at the right time of the year.
For days out I recommend visits to Stirling, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow which all have their own personality and places of interest. These trips can be done by train or Bus if you have travelled by public transport or want a rest from driving.
If you are driving I thoroughly recommend the little villages in Perthshire, Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Crieff, Aberfeldy and more. A must is day trips to the Fife Coast and all it's wonderful quaint villages. All these day trips involve no more than an hours drive.
