This is a great place to visit with kiddos. My kids always enjoy the talking tree trail and the helicopter.

It’s not a super long hike but it is steep! It is worth the climb though, sunsets are gorgeous!

DuPont state forest is awesome! Take the 3-Mile Waterfall Hike, it’s the most popular waterfall hike in DuPont but it takes you to Hooker, Triple and High Falls. Take a picnic! Since it's so beautiful, expect big crowds on nice weekends. There are so many other trails and waterfalls to visit in DuPont state forest. They also have many great mountain biking trails of all levels.

Awesome place to visit! Sliding Rock is a waterfall in the Pisgah Forest so named because visitors can slide all the way down the 60 foot waterfall into the 8 foot deep plunge pool below. The water is cold but so much fun on a hot day. Be prepared for crowds though.

Awesome place to visit! Sliding Rock is a waterfall in the Pisgah Forest so named because visitors can slide all the way down the 60 foot waterfall into the 8 foot deep plunge pool below. The water is cold but so much fun on a hot day. Be prepared for crowds though.
