Lots of cute shops downtown and there is a splash pad right in front of the fire station. Lake tomahawk is a great trail with views of the 7 sisters ( just a few blocks for the house) there is a public pool and tennis courts right there as well

Fairly easy hike. Wider trail in most spots until you get close to the waterfall. There is a spot where you can swim or splash around too!

We love Montreat. The creek, the play ground and the hiking. Our favorite is lookout. Gorgeous views. A little steep and rocky in one part but not terribly difficult. Cute shops there as well. Check out the visitors center there to get maps for their trails.
