Located less than half mile from The Granary, DWTG is home cooked and everything is delicious, features daily dinner specials (to go), lunch specials, Paige and Syd are talented chefs and Paige is a trained pastry chef so DO NOT MISS the cookies, muffins, pies, cakes... the counter is always filled with the favorites, chicken salad, pimento cheese, etc.... take a few back to the Granary and have dinner or cocktails on the deck! Tell them I sent you... They are only open Tuesday through Friday 11 am - 6:30 - grab some goodies on your way in and have for the weekend !!

I love City Bakery...I have only been to the one on Biltmore Avenue...the egg, bacon cheese on a cheddar biscuit is my go to...delish! Great location to stroll downtown AVL to work off those calories...or just walk on up Biltmore, hang a right and grab a drinkable chocolate from French Broad Chocolate Lounge...usually a line ...worth it !!
