Incredible views and vistas from this historic Parkway, built by the CCC in the 1940s. Plenty of hiking trails. My fave is Sharp Top Mtn located at MM 86 and right next to the Peaks of Otter Lodge so you can fill your belly after a vigorous hike! There is also a side trail off the Sharp Top Trail to a Mitchell bomber that crashed in the 1940s.

A drive thru zoo. This is not quite an hour north on I81, but well worth the visit. I recommend taking the wagon ride for an up close and personal visit with the animals and make sure to purchase a bucket of feed. Watch out for the hungry camels!
