There are so many great hikes within an hour drive of the Airstream.
The Appalachian Trail is the most famous hiking trail in America and it is so closeby. Big Bald right on the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. It offers 360-degree views for miles on the Appalachian Trail.

This is a great hike that's easily accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway. A great time to check out the area is in the spring (usually around June) when the rhododendrons are in full bloom. The views from the bald are wonderful.

27 miles (about 45 minute drive) from the Airstream and on the way to Mt. Mitchell, you'll find Setrock Falls. The trail isn't too difficult and the falls are worth the hike.

Asheville and the surround area has a vibrant foodie scene. It's located in the brewery district in downtown Asheville.
Snap Dragon is named after the ship that Otway Burns (the namesake of Burnsville) captained during the War of 1812 against the British. It is right on the Burnsville Town Square. It has a cool vibe with indoor/outdoor seating and a full bar famous for custom cocktails.

Green Man Brewing is located in the brewery district in downtown Asheville and have been brewing here since 1997. They are famous for English style ales and lagers. The tours are in small groups and are very informative. You'll sample many beers and tour the entire facility.
