This is only one mile away from the cabin!
There are multiple entry & exit points along the trail. The variation in grade is nearly undetectable to the naked eye—making this a calm, non-strenuous option to walk, ride or run and also enjoy the abundant, all-surrounding, natural beauty. The Jackson River Trail is appropriate and enjoyable for most children as well.
Turn right out of the cabin drive into the main road; Jackson River Rd. Drive approximately one mile, parking for the Natural Well trailhead is directly on the left as you turn onto Natural Well Rd.
Natural Well Trailhead, Jackson River Scenic Trail

Falling Spring Falls
One mile from the cabin, there is a natural spring running out of the side of the mountain. You are allowed to visit the well and collect the fresh, cold spring water. This is a very unique and wholesome experience.

Plan to stay for a while; pack a lunch/snacks/water. Bring a couple of towels and enjoy the day. Showering and restroom facilities are available on the premises as well. Awesome and relaxing day for all ages—gorgeous views all day long!

Your own personal transportation is highly recommended as the way to get around while you’re visiting. Public transportation is not available in this rural area. Services such as Uber or Lyft services may be utilized, however, expect a very long wait time.
