Looking Glass Falls is beautiful and you can drive right up to it! The ranger station has a cool computer program that you can put in your hiking preferences and it will recommend different hikes.

This is a beautiful section of the AT right on the NC/TN border. Hike out towards Grassy Knob for spectacular 360 views. Always take extra layers as the temperature definitely gets chillier with the elevation. (Take some water and rain gear to be safe).
