Bryson City is a quaint small town know for it's railroad to take vacationers to points of interest in nearby towns. Let's not forget to mention the "Polar Express" from November through December. Come take a train ride in your PJ's and drink hot chocolate and eat cookies along the way to Santa's North Pole.
Many families also come to explore the Deep Creek waterfalls, tubing, and picnic areas .
Nantahala Outdoor Center is known for it's whitewater rafting. There is a restaurant overlooking the Nantahala River. Eat your meal as you watch kayacker's manuever along the river. Or, bring your chairs and sit along the banks. Dip your toes in the river, or take a plunge.
There are many rivers in Bryson City to fish. Little Tennessee River is know for the fly fishing river. Tuckaseegee River is know for single tubing.
