41 miles to Biltmore Estate in Asheville. Our favorite is to explore the gardens and grounds. Hike, bike, fish, horseback ride. There is so many ways to spend your day. Be sure to preorder tickets online especially if you are looking to tour the Vanderbilt home. There are fabulous dining options if you are a bit of a foodie like myself. Afternoon Tea at the Biltmore is one of my favorite things to do; however, since the pandemic they do not always offer this option. Despite that, the Library Lounge is an amazing place to have some small plates and soak in the beautiful mountain view.
Off the estate, one of our must stops would be a Biscuit Head for their savory selection of unique but delicious biscuits. Check them out if you are still hungry after your full day of exploring and leaving the Biltmore. Get ready to take a lot of pictures! I do recommend taking your own water with you as the prices for bottled water can be on the high side and you will be doing plenty of walking. They also offer a wine tasting included with your ticket, take advantage!
To offer the kids a break- the Village has a great playground and animals too!
