Only a few minutes walk from our place, great takeaway coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, flat white, espresso, americano, croissants, fruit scones baked fresh every morning Open from 7.30am Go to Brazco upstairs from Lidl and sit on the Balcony for breakfast or brunch or lounge on a sofa and hear the chat and buzz of locals each morning. Lunch offers hearty soups with delicious brown soda bread, salads, omelettes, wraps and sandwiches. All fresh made on-site. Other cafés include Thomas & Co., Poppyseed, Délice, Costa, Day and evening time eateries award winning Armorica (French), and Basilico Restaurant and the Coach House (Italian) Keane’s Pub, The Porterhouse, Glynns pub for pizza, Galway Bay Golf Resort restaurant open to the public, Iconic pub and old style cottage ‘The Thatch Pub’ also known as McDonaghs has lots of outdoor seating in their back garden. Keane’s Pub usually have a fire burning in the solid fuel stove just inside the front door on a cold evening. Glynns Pub has lovely nooks and a large outdoor sheltered area which is very popular. The Porterhouse serve food until 9pm and then reverts to pub. The Brewery Cup is just across the road from The Porterhouse. These are mostly within 5 minute walk so you won’t need a taxi home either. There’s also Oranmore Lodge Hotel which is locally owned and a beautiful setting where you can book for dinner. Also The Maldron Hotel serves food right throughout the day. Other restaurants and takeaways include: Royal Villa - Chinese Santoori - Indian Oran- Tandori - Indian Giovannis - fish and chips snd pizzas etc Apache pizza Da Enzo - Italian You can also pick up take away coffee and rolls/sandwiches from the deli at Kearneys Centra Shop, Texaco service station in the middle of the village.

Watch the sunset behind Oranmore Castle. You might be lucky to meet Leonie the owner of the castle who does tours and opens to tourists on request. Need to book in advance. One of the few Castles like this in Ireland where the family lives there.
