Neighborhoods
My neighborhood is part of older Asheville, with diverse architecture and mature trees. Beaver Lake is a fifteen minute walk and there are trails around the lake, a bird sanctuary with benches to relax and take in the beauty. A very close walk to a great coffee pastry cafe and within a quarter mile is Asheville Community Yoga which has an assortment of fabulous classes you pay what you can afford.
There's a bus stop close by in case you don't want to drive to town, but Uber and Lift are also used to coming around.
My neighbors are all nice and helpful. We are creating a community garden on my land this spring 2022, so if you come stay during the summer, you will be able to pluck a tomato or whatever's ripe!
Slowly I am converting grass into pollinator beds. Sunflowers, bee balm, and an assortment of native plants will be busting out all over the yard. There are plenty of sitting areas around the 1.5 acres and guests are welcome to them.

Liberty House has fabulous food, much of which is sourced from their garden. They have a large outdoor seating area.

THE best bread in town! Susannah the owner is one of my favorite women in Asheville. Her baked goods are over the top. They have been only on line ordering during covid and have recently been open for to go orders Saturday & Sunday mornings.

Less than a mile from me on the River Road, it's a great place to get coffee, chocolate, see the factory and watch the process of making the best chocolate around. There's also a store downtown next to the Art Museum.

About three minutes from here, it's considered one of the best coffee spots. Both indoor and outdoor seating, you can take to go and walk to town! On the way, slip in to Moog Studios and learn all about that musical gem.

They leveled the building and now it's Green Sage.
