Sightseeing
Visit Charles D Owen Park (approx. 6 miles away), walk around 2 lakes & beside the Swannanoa River and Beetree creek with nice Mtn views. Around the 2 lakes is just under one mile on flat terrain. See geese, ducks, an assortment of other birds, water turtles, etc. There is also a couple of covered picnic table areas and charcoal grills, a playground, basketball courts, bathrooms and fishing in the lakes & river (NC fishing license required). Dogs must be leashed. No alcoholic beverages permitted.
