Less than a mile down the bike path, Noblebrau is our favorite neighborhood spot for live music, beverages and lunch or dinner. They don't offer a huge menu, but everything on it is fantastic. Along with some elevated brewery fare, they also normally offer a hearty salad and vegetarian option.

Vescovo is our pick for a special night out. It's warm and intimate and the food is so unique and delicious that you'll want to order one of everything on the menu. And even if you're a beer-lover, make this a cocktail night--they're fabulous. It's a good idea to make a reservation.

Sightseeing
Our favorite hike! It's a 15 minute from the house and about a 6 mile round trip hike. It's not easy breezy, but it's perfectly doable for any active person. The quintessential Blue Ridge view is worth the extra hustle.

You'll probably get bugs in your teeth from smiling so hard while you fly down the mountain, but you can wash them out with a post-ride beverage at Cedar Mountain Canteen.

The trail along Davidson River is a flat gravel path that's perfect for a peaceful nature walk. Park at Lowe's and cross the street, park near the Davidson River Campground or ride the bike path from the house (about 3 miles).

Pour a to-go cup of coffee and go first thing in the morning and you’ll have it all to yourself.

There are lots of opportunities for photos from scenic lookouts, or you can choose from a list of hikes ranging in length and difficulty. It’s the perfect activity for a travel group with different abilities—everyone gets to enjoy spectacular views!
