Food scene
Puerto Nuevo - This is Baja's famous lobster town. Located about 15 min. north of our place off of Route 1. Lobster is on the menu at every restaurant in Puerto Nuevo, and not much else. Make sure you experience the home made flour tortillas! Our family favorites are Villa Ortega with a lovely patio view. And Hacienda Ortega on the opposite side of town. Both have free parking. They have slightly different menu's and they are both excellent choices. There are little shops in the village to walk off those lobster calories.

Primo Tapia - I personally feel this is some of the best food close to our place. Located 10-15 min. north of us on the free road. Could use some work on the ambiance. Patio seating is good. Try the Mole crusted Blue Fin - the best! Their Strawberry Mojito's are pretty tasty too. They have gourmet pizza, but I have not tried it yet. The menu is varied, and so far everyone who has been there have not been disappointed. Open for Lunch & Dinner. Full Bar
La Mision - Looking for good coffee, Latte's, Cappuccino, perhaps fresh juices? This place is a great little find. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a bistro cafe setting. They have healthy choices, as well as gourmet items. Desserts are pretty good too. It's close to us on the free road heading towards Ensenada, or the Valle. You need to go north on Route 1, exit at La Fonda towards La Mision- and head south on the free road. You will run into it.

Live music on weekends, or Karaoke on Friday nights. Full bar. See how the retired Ex Pats live! Try your hand at hitting golf balls into the ocean. There is also a ping pong table, and other games at the entry.

Located in Central Rosarito. Very nice restaurant. Ambiance is key. They have varied menu' everything we've had here is delicious! It's a bit out of the way, you almost feel like you are getting lost, driving through residential areas, then you arrive! They have a basement wine cellar which is cool to take your party and bottles of wine down for an hour privately.

Ensenada is a fishing village. The cruise ships dock here, and many tourists flock the streets to barter with vendors. You can take carriage rides, rent ATV's, and book tours to the Vineyards. Lots of places to eat and drink. Bring your hats and sunscreen, it can get hot.

Dining room has been updated, as well as a very nice patio area. They have full bar service.
