Sightseeing

The church that's the most worth seeing in Stralsund. Incredible number of medieval artifacts among the altars inside. This church was first mentioned in 1278, but construction probably started already around the 1230's.

Ferry terminal for harbor cruises and the ferries to Hiddensee as well as the village Altefaehr on Ruegen. Very inexpensive and fast connection to the beaches (including a nude beach) of Altefaehr, which also has restaurants and cafes worth visiting.

Johanniskloster is a monastery ruin. The main church construction was started in 1234 and the building burned already in 1624, the main choir staying a ruin since. There is a very picturesque inner courtyard of small cottages inside the complex.
