The old mill ruins and once boom town over a century ago is definitely worth a visit if you out exploring south of the Portage Canal.

Be careful, there are some sketchy places in the ruins. Its a really neat spot, with an intense but brief trek down a bluff. You can find chunks of copper and agates on the beach. Park at the memorial then take the trail down the bluff towards the water.
