Brockway is gorgeous any time of day, but we especially recommend a ride up here for sunset or for stargazing—Brockway Mountain has been recognized as one of the best places for stargazing in the United States, thanks to the lack of light or environmental pollution. Bring a sweater—it's windy up here! Also, if you're driving between Eagle and Copper Harbors, it's the only place you get cell service.

The most popular scenic drive in the Keweenaw. Drive in to Copper Harbor and head up Brockway Mountain Drive. There are a few hiking trails along the way to the top. The best view will be at the popular lookout. You'll know when you have arrived. From here you can turn back around or continue down the backside of the mountain as it drops in elevation back to Highway M26. Near this intersection you'll find a nice roadside cascade of the Silver River. Continue North on M26 along the rocky shore of Lake Superior back to the cabin. Keep an eye out for roadside parks and preserves to pull-in and take in the view.
