Need to start this by letting you know where I am coming from. My Mexican food taste is more in line with Tex-Mex. I enjoy green chili as a condiment not a drink or primary ingredient. Los Portales is a nice family run restaurant (don't be surprised if the kids are running around). The food is good generic slightly altered for the Gringo Mexican. I wouldn't go out of my way but if you are in the mood for Mexican this would be the place to go. Like many other restaurants I like it isn't anything special to look at. In the middle of an old strip mall it is unassuming and easy to miss.
