This hike is located in the Pisgah National Forest and hands down my favorite in the area. It is 5.8 miles out and back with an elevation gain of 1,722 ft. It is strenuous, so bring water and snacks. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. ***This goes without saying, but please be very careful at the top of both John Rock and Looking Glass. It is a 200+ ft drop to the bottom so please use caution!

Great hike that takes a couple hours. The view from Looking Glass is amazing. Bring a picnic or a book to spend some time up there. Pack plenty of water.

A steep climb, not for the faint of heart, but amazing views at the top. Just outside of Brevard off Hwy 276, about a 40 min drive from Asheville. Brevard is a cute little town worth checking out, too.
