A local park, and a great place to let off steam with the kids! On summer Sundays, a great place to take a picnic and listen to live music at the Old bandstand!

Ward Park covers an area of 37 acres and among its attractions are a children's playground, all weather hockey pitches, cricket pitch, bowling greens, putting green and tennis courts. It also has a chain of small lakes providing wildfowl sanctuary with many interesting specimens and dry pens containing a large variety of exotic birds. Free live music at the Bandstand takes place every Sunday in July and August, 3pm-5pm, as part of the annual Open House Festival.

Lovely park with large duck pond and children's play park. The weekly park run starts here and the park is also home to the local library.
