I worked here when I was a 16 year old kid. The family has been in the area since the late 1700's My favorite time to eat is for Breakfast and at just over $12 for all you can eat it's hard to go wrong. Meals are served promptly at 8am so make reservations if you plan to go. Food is served family style which means they bring a plate of everything they are serving that day to your table...eat it all and they will bring you more. They also serve dinner, but it's a bit pricey in my honest opinion. Tie this in with a horseback ride on the property which you can book when you make reservations or hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway in your horseless carriage and you can't go wrong for great day. This will eventually become North Carolina's newest State Park. The ranch is still a bit in limbo as to what's going to happen. 2019 could very well be the last year for this restaurant, but make sure to check. Reservations are required.

If you feel like horse back riding or just stepping back in time a little visit the ranch- sit on the porch and sip a glass of tea or hot cider in the fall!
