A little gem of a mountain city Asheville has long been a tourist destination. Historically visitors have come for the beautiful setting and cool mountain air. In recent years Asheville has become a thriving culinary scene and must visit destination for beer enthusiasts (voted Beer City USA 4 times).
Asheville has a very unique and eclectic vibe with a great arts scene, tons of locally-owned businesses and amazing hiking nearby.
As an Asheville native, I love the availability of outdoor activities combined with the continuously growing list of great local restaurants and breweries all set in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains!

I love downtown as well, but West Asheville has a more local charm. Walking/ driving down Haywood Rd. you'll pass murals on many of the buildings including some of my favorites-- Dolly Parton + Ru Paul @ Beauty Parade and Joan of Arc looking out from Archetype Brewing.
