City/town information
Rosman is a very small town where life centers around the local high school --The Tigers. There is a town pool that anyone can go to in the summer, tube and raft rentals for the river, a pizza place (also ice cream in summer) and a Mexican restaurant. Headwaters Outfitters is off 64 and can set you up for many activities on the river. There is an independent grocer, gas station, post office and Tiger Town thrift store.

This is the next closest grocery store, owned by Ingles, it has all of Ingles top sellers in a smaller grocery store format. It is on Rosman Highway before you go into Brevard. There are no self check-outs, just 2 human cashiers and after 7 you have to use the left door.

This is a huge store with a Starbucks, gas station, deli with hot and cold food breakfast, lunch and dinner, clean restrooms and almost every grocery item that exists. Here in Brevard it is referred to as Mingles because you will see everyone whether you want to or not!

Yes, its the library, but it is a great place to access wifi, even when closed and to participate in programs and see speakers and shows in the outdoor amphitheater.

This is out our back gate. There is a camp gate and our neighborhood gate to get back through. You can either go around or let us know when you are going and we can arrange to go open the gate for you.

This is a great locally owned New York Style pizza place. There is a bar and sports on TV. The staff are very friendly, especially the manager.

Great hamburgers, cool ambience--you are down in the basement and there is a pub next door downstairs. The basic hamburger is excellent and sides are separate. Run by some local girls. Right down town.

Looking Glass Falls
It is on the main road through the forest. You don't even have to hike. There are many other beautiful falls if you want to hike, but this one everyone can see.

Accidents at the waterfalls are always tourists. Please follow the signs and don't go where you shouldn't. Waterfalls can be very dangerous.
