We will visit our beautiful docile herd of "Gir" cows. Humped indian cows. We will spend time petting, brushing and hugging them, sometimes, napping with them. Afterwards, we will feed the cows fruits and other snacks and the humans get some too. We also share information about our project or answer questions about our herd :) Other things to note We will guide you to have a safe fun experience with the cows. Our cows are a special breed called "Gir", they are docile and like humans more than ANY other cow breed. Nicknamed "pasture dogs" :) :)

After your initial arrival and parking you will then be greeted by me (Kamal Bell). After our introduction you will be given a brief history on the founding of Sankofa Farms. Once completed you will be fitted for a beekeeping suit and introduced to all of the equipment you will need to start you own hive! Once the review is complete we will travel to our apiary on site and you will be given a hands on experience in our hives. This session will comprise of how to inspect a beehive, how to properly use beekeeping equipment , and how to spot your queen Bee! Other things to note Once you arrive to our location you will travel down a gravel road. At the end of the road make a left turn toward a our red barn and I will greet you once you arrive!

We will meet at the launch point at 6:30pm. This will give us time to go over all guidelines and equipment. We will enter the water for a leisurely paddle keeping an eye out for wildlife including bald eagles. Once the sun has set we will continue to paddle on the calm and quiet night time water for about 30 minutes. Total time on water is 1.5 hours. Want to do a different date? No problem! Just send me a message and I will setup an experience on the date that works best for you! Other things to note Getting wet is a possibility. Wear shoes and clothes you don't mind getting wet. 2 guest minimum. Trips are pending weather. If cancelled due to weather or not enough guests a refund will be issued

~1:00-1:30pm - Vegan lunch - We will begin with a short introduction, greeting, and sitting peacefully to eat a wonderful vegan ayurvedic lunch. ~1:30-1:45pm - Sankalpa - We explain and discuss what we will be doing, how it can be done, the purpose and importantly set intention to get a strong result. ~ 1:45-2:15pm - Kirtan - we will jump into a 30 minute seated kirtan utilizing ancient mantras, traditional eastern drumming/rhythms, brass cymbals, droning instruments. ~ 2:15-2:30pm - Japa - we will practice “Japa”, a personal form of mantra mediation performed individually, even whilst in a group. We utilize a wooden bead “mala” for this purpose, we will provide. ~ 2:30-2:40 - Sankirtan - standing kirtan with optional movement / dancing. Free form ~ 2:40-3:00pm Reflections Optional discussion or Q&A You’ll have a unique experience Other things to note: We will be teaching basic Krsna Bhakti yoga principles, a handful of practices which, when used anytime will bring great centering and peace to your life. These practices disintegrate blockages and old energy that is not serving us in our lives, allowing for unlimited new pathways most of us never knew were possible. This experience is great for those who traveled long hours especially across the ocean or country. It will help to feel more grounded and recover from jet lag quickly. It is also great for stress relief and emotional balance. We start with a short guided meditation which helps you start to feel comfortable and more relaxed. You will be sitting in chair or laying down on yoga mat whatever is more comfortable for you. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, but I do have extras. Then you will be surrounded by sound of six gongs. After few minutes you will enter a meditative state and your own inner experience. The sound of gong penetrates, cleans, invigorates, rejuvenates, and connects you to your soul, your highest infinite self. Discover what will be yours. There will be time after the session to allow you to slowly come back to the present moment and fully awaken. Other things to note If you are allergic to cat consider to take your medicine. I have a cat who usually does not bother, but sometimes comes to check out after session.
