It's not Colorado, but it's not far away either ! And truly, they do a great job. it's run well, safe organized, have great beer in the kitchy old lodge. They rent both skis and snowboards, but I'd recommend renting a board from the Flipside Board shop down the hill. My kids grew up going here every week with a school club, and we get season passes each year. highly recommend if your in town from November through March.

Cataloochee is 24 mountain miles from White Oak. We enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee.

This is the ski resort that makes Maggie Valley a ski town. With well-maintained roads throughout the winter season, getting up the mountain isn't a problem. This is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard, and bring the whole family for a memorable adventure.
