Montreal's central park, the Beaver Lake section has a skating rink(you can rent your skates there), sleding and great trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Gorgeous spot on top of Mont Royal Mountain. Bring a picnic there in the summer.

I am including this not so much for the lake, but for the lookout. You will need to park your car in the lot and walk about 4-5 minutes to get to the lookout, but it's well worth it. It's a beautiful view of the city, day or night. There are even some friendly, chubby raccoons you can feed a few snacks to.

Great starting point to walk around Mount Royal's trails. Make sure you go up to the chalet on top of the mountain to get a great view of the city. In winter you can go tubing down the mountain or skate on Beaver Lake.
